Biomaster Clean PullCord Anti-ligature Data Sheet 2018
Ligature Risk Reduction Policy and Procedure
A ligature can be defined as anything a person can use to hang or strangle themselves with. It can be made with anything that can be used to form a noose that may be used for self strangulation and not necessarily able to support body weight
Biomaster Clean PullCord
The Biomaster Clean PullCord has a non PVC polymer coating with built in Biomaster Antimicrobial Technology which has been proven in independent tests to inhibit growth of bacteria.
Biomaster slowly releases silver ions on demand and has been formulated to last the active lifetime of the product.
Anti ligature Clean PullCord
Anti ligature is used where there is a danger that people may cause harm to themselves. The Anti-ligature Clean PullCord is tapered through the length of the PullCord, and has been tested on a tensile gauge to snap when pulled with a force greater than 7.25kg +/-10%. Our testing has established that the breaking strain is sufficient for the cord to function as a PullCord yet reduces the risk of it being used as a ligature. This makes it suitable for situations where there is a risk of the PullCord being used as a means of violence or strangulation.
By the very nature of the product, the Anti-ligature Clean PullCord is less durable than our standard Clean PullCords.
